Hi! My name’s Ed and I’m the founder of Monty’s XI. We make premium dog harnesses and accessories that celebrate historic sporting designs.

To understand our story, I need to introduce you to Monty, our beloved four-year-old cocker spaniel.

They say a dog is a man’s best friend, and Monty fit this saying perfectly. He embraced every day with us as if it were his last, never turned down a walk (no matter how miserable the weather) and always begged for just one more throw of the ball at the park. He truly was the best companion anyone could ask for.

In 2024 we tragically lost Monty in a terrible accident after a storm in our hometown. The hole he left in our family is hard to put into words. Anyone who has experienced the loss of a pet will understand this deeply. Suddenly, Monty wasn’t there to greet us when we came home, there was no more pitter-patter of claws on the hard floor and no eyes watching hopefully when the cheese came out of the fridge.

Our love for Monty remains and he lives on in spirit. To honour his legacy we’ve founded Monty’s XI, a dog accessories brand that combines three of our great loves: dogs, sports and nostalgia. 

We believe the love people feel for their dogs mirrors the loyalty sports fans feel for their teams. Our harnesses and accessories celebrate this by combining your favourite teams’ historic colours and kit designs with high-performance materials. The result is a range of quality products that look tip-top on your four legged friends and can keep them safe and comfortable no matter the terrain.

Simply put - we want to connect your love for your pooch with your love for your team.

Our mission also runs deeper. As committed animal lovers, we’ve partnered with the Blue Cross. No animal ever deserves to suffer cruelty, and no person should have to deal with pet grief alone. Blue Cross run a fantastic pet grief support line for those suffering the loss of a pet. In honour of Monty, a percentage of each sale will be donated to these charities.
